This time, it's in person! This program equips participants with in-depth training on workers' rights and empowers them to fight workplace injustices. Our dedicated participants will deepen their understanding of various labor rights topics, including health and safety regulations, wage laws, and the rights of temporary workers in NJ.
In 2023, our inaugural cohort graduated 17 individuals who have since been sharing vital information and supporting workers in their communities. We believe in the power of building a network of community leaders who can address and respond to labor abuses.
By educating our community about their rights and empowering them to report such abuses, we aim to change the culture that allows employers to exploit their workers without consequence.
Stay tuned for updates on our Facebook page, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to get involved: jculley@cata-farmworkers.org.
We are grateful to the CARE grant from NJDOL in supporting this program!
Together, we can make a difference in ensuring fair and just workplaces for all.
