Latino Leadership Scholarship Fund
For the past 5 years, the Hammonton Health Coalition has run the Latino Leadership Scholarship Fund. Although the Coalition no longer exists, we are happy to announce that CATA, a member organization of the former HHC, has taken over the management of the fund and will continue to support Latino students in the town of Hammonton, New Jersey, as they pursue higher education.
We are excited to launch the 6th year of the Latino Leadership Scholarship Fund!
In an effort to support students who may have limited access to resources while seeking a higher education in the Hammonton community, the Hammonton Health Coalition created The Latino Leadership Scholarship Fund in 2020. Since then, we have handed out almost $25,000 in scholarships to 36 Latino high school seniors in Hammonton, NJ. Students who have received the scholarships have gone on to attend Rutgers University, Rowan University, Stockton University, Lehigh University, University of Virginia, and the University of Notre Dame.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide some financial assistance towards the costs associated with buying books and supplies for the first semester of college while also awarding students who demonstrate academic achievement and have had a positive impact on our community.
