Learning Their Rights, Building Their Power: CATA Trains New Workers’ Rights Ambassadors
CATA recently hosted its fifth cohort of the Workers’ Rights Ambassadors program, where seven participants completed three intensive workshops on human rights, New Jersey labor laws, workplace discrimination, health and safety, and community organizing. Through the program, participants gained tools to understand their rights, support their coworkers, and share this knowledge within their communities.

CATA strongly condemns the horrific, inhumane treatment of detainees at Delaney Hall in NJ and the violent behavior of ICE agents toward protestors
Detainees inside Delaney Hall have put their bodies on the line in a hunger/labor strike to demand basic human dignity. It is unacceptable that 300 detainees are being subjected to inhumane conditions, with reports of inadequate and unsanitary facilities, rotten food, and severe medical neglect of detainees, especially those with serious medical conditions.
