After weeks of silence, ICE returned to Cumberland County, using Bridgeton’s public spaces as staging grounds for its operations. But Los Tequios, CATA members, and community allies were ready. Together, they organized residents to demand an ordinance prohibiting ICE from using city-owned property. The City Council promised to act, but when the ordinance was missing from the next agenda, the community knew the fight was far from over.
